Coffee; Friend or Foe in the Real Estate World

For those close to me, you know coffee is always with me.  I can easily drink 2-3 pots a day.  Coffee has provided many opportunities for me.  Alertness, great taste, warmth, one of my best companions.  Until it became by worst enemy.  I dropped my iphone straight into a full cup of coffee.  Complete panic was felt throughout the whole household.  Real Estate Agents lifeline is in the phone.  Every contact, email, phone number and useful apps are all stored in this one device.  Apparently, Apple did not prepare for liquids, creamer or sugar to get into the electrical components.  I had a showing scheduled, counteroffer to meet on and a gentlemen expecting my call on a $650k property.

My solution was take the husbands phone.  Switched out sims card and roll out.  Not that easy.  He has no apps important to me, no contacts and no ekey.  First step, get the apps. Next, research cell phone bill to get numbers to recent phone call and contacts.  Third, a 30 digit authorization code to get ekey going.  Called Kellie at the office, she had me through Supra in minutes.  Got the code while flying down the highway.  Got everything up and going on the phone and was ready to unlocked the door to a great house.

Moral of this story: When a friend turns into your foe, when it seems the worst has happen, life has not ended in those few minutes.  Counter the problem with determination, solve the problem and of course, lots of deep breathing.

Big thank you to my husband for phone, as he is still without this morning.

Thank you Kristie for the quick save & Darren James for checking in on me during the big event.

Love working for Darren James Real Estate Experts! A company that looks out for one another!

And yes I'm drinking my morning pot of coffee, we are friends again.

  3. Came home today, fixed a pot of coffee. I sat down with the first cup, ready to enjoy the evening. My precious teenage son was listening to my day while throwing cups in the air. He managed to catch about 20 throws, then ooops, missed one and slammed it right in the coffee. I was completely covered in coffee and deep breathing excercises had to start all over again. Dylan was quick to clean up and apologize. Thank you Lord, for my children, patience and coffee.
